Climate change has started becoming a new problem for many countries of the world. UN University has Global Water Security 2023 (Global Water Security 2023 Assessment) Such a report is being released in which a serious water crisis has been pointed out in the coming times. In this report, the water security of 33 countries of three different geographical regions has been assessed. And it has been told that where there is a huge shortage of water and where the condition of water is good.
Earlier, in a report by the United Nations Institute for Water, Environment and Health, an assessment was made about 22 such countries including Pakistan, where warnings were given about the danger arising from the lack of water. It was told that the water in these countries has gone deep below the ground and people do not have access to clean water.
Clean water is a dream for half the people
The UN University report said that the most recent assessment of the world’s water resources by UN water experts has shown that clean drinking water is still a dream for more than half of the world’s population. More than 70 percent of the global population does not have access to clean water.

The report states that three out of four people currently live in water-insecure countries. These countries include Solomon Islands, Sudan, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Haiti, Papua New Guinea, including Pakistan. The condition of Somalia, Liberia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Libya, Madagascar, South Sudan, Micronesia, Niger, Sierra Leone, Yemen, Chad, Comoros and Sri Lanka is also not good.
Agenda 2030 for Water
According to the report, through the Decade of Water Action (2018-2028) and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a multidimensional plan is proposed to address the state of water security affecting 7.8 billion people in 186 countries.

These countries are safe in terms of water
In the midst of the global water crisis, there are some countries which have been described as safe in the report. These include Denmark, Luxembourg, Austria, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, France, Lithuania, Greece, Germany, UK, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Portugal.
Canada is the only country with the best water security in the US. Water-secured countries in the Asia Pacific region include New Zealand, Cyprus, Australia, Japan, Israel, Kuwait, and Malaysia. But the special thing is that there is no name of India in it. India is not even in the list of countries where there is a water crisis.
