Neither Didi nor the Gandhi family liked Pawar’s recipe and the opposition alliance disintegrated even before it was formed.
Opposition unity is not possible without Congress party
Now it is not known what Pawar told Chandrashekhar Rao for the treatment of digestion, but if these leaders do not listen to him, then it is certain that either dosa or pav-bhaji, no matter how tasty, the person who eats it. But the problem is that, as Pawar said, opposition unity is not possible without the Congress party and without the Congress party the opposition will not be able to unite and challenge Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Chandrashekhar Rao reached Mumbai on Sunday and the very next day the Congress party accused him of taking a contract to eliminate the Congress party from the BJP. This allegation is not true but it is certainly logical.
Rising BJP’s power in Telangana alarm bells for KCR
The Congress party said that whether Mamata Banerjee or Chandrashekhar Rao, both are trying to break the UPA and only talking to the leaders of the constituent parties of the UPA. If the UPA is broken, it will directly benefit the BJP, which is true in sixteen years. But the allegation on Chandrashekhar Rao that he has taken betel nut from BJP is not correct at all. Telangana was formed as a separate state on 2 June 2014 and since then Chandrashekhar Rao is the Chief Minister of the state. For the next seven years, he was neither seen with the BJP nor with the Congress party, remained neutral. Perhaps, except Mamata Banerjee, no opposition chief minister wants to mess with the central government. But Chandrashekhar Rao is now compelled to speak and be seen against BJP and Modi. Right now it is not possible to tell why he has suddenly started talking about opposition unity and whether he also aspires to become the Prime Minister like Mamata Banerjee, but it is certain that he is starting to fear the BJP.
Assembly elections will be held in Telangana in the month of December 2023. There has been a radical change in the politics of Telangana in the last seven years. Chandrasekhar’s party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TSR) will not compete with the Congress party or his old party Telugu Desam Party but with the BJP. BJP is spreading its feet in Telangana day by day and is becoming popular among the people of the state. Be it the municipal elections of Hyderabad or in other cities, BJP is consistently getting tremendous success. Recently, in the Huzurabad assembly by-election, the BJP had defeated the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and won the election by about 24,000 votes.
It was like an alarm bell for Chandrashekhar Rao. To take on the BJP, he will now need the support of other opposition parties, and will have to be active in the politics of the center, so that the people of the state see him as a future prime minister and support him in the same way as the people of Gujarat. He had consistently supported Modi as the Chief Minister of the state, due to which Modi was able to become the Prime Minister of the country.

And the Congress party will not join him until he decides to support Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate. In this situation, the opposition’s khichdi hardly cooks.
