According to the ‘Story of Pakistan’, in 1946 and 1947, Mohammad left the company and joined the Finance Ministry of Pakistan. But before going to Pakistan, he was associated with the Finance Ministry of India. He also helped prepare the country’s first union budget. After the partition, the relations of Mahindra family with Ghulam Mohammad ended. But it is said that for a long time there was contact between the two families. In 1955, when Ghulam Mohammed came as India’s chief guest at the Republic Day parade, he spoke to Jagdish Chandra Mahindra’s mother on the phone.
