LIC Bima Jyoti Policy: A popular scheme of LIC, the country’s largest government insurance cover provider, is the Bima Jyoti policy. Under this policy, along with the security of the family, the policyholders also get the benefit of savings. LIC Bima Jyoti is a non linked, non participating, individual and life insurance savings plan. This is a policy, by purchasing which the policyholders (LIC Policyholders) gets the benefit of savings along with the security of the future of the family.

If the policyholder dies accidentally during the policy (before maturity), then the family members get financial support under the policy. Apart from this, if the policyholder remains alive on maturity, then guaranteed lump sum income is received. Apart from this, through this policy, you can also take advantage of a loan if you need liquidity.

Take care of these important things

1. A minimum sum assured of one lakh rupees is available on investment in the policy.
2. There is no limit on the maximum Sum Assured on investing in this policy.

4. Premium has to be paid under the policy till 5 years before maturity.
5. You can invest in this policy from 90 days to 60 years of age.
6. The minimum age of maturity is 18 years and the maximum age is 75 years.

Minimum and Maximum Investment

Under this policy of LIC, the policyholder can invest on monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis. In this policy, the policyholder will have to make a minimum monthly investment of at least Rs.5000. If you want to invest on a quarterly basis, then the amount to be invested will be Rs 15,000. Apart from this, if you want to invest on a half-yearly basis, then you have to invest Rs.25,000 and if you want to invest on an annual basis, then you have to invest Rs.50,000.

Will get annual guaranteed return

In LIC Bima Jyoti policy, you will be given a guarantee of Rs 50 per thousand at the end of every year in addition to the basic sum assured. In this, you will get a guaranteed bonus of Rs 50 per thousand sum assured. Monthly premium can be paid through NACH (National Automated Clearing House) only or through salary deduction.
