Doctors told that if hypertension is not treated, then there is also a risk of heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure can also damage the kidneys and eyes.

When there is a problem of high blood pressure in the body, it is called hypertension. Due to this many other dangerous diseases also occur. Doctors say that uncontrolled high blood pressure is a major cause of heart attack. The cases of heart disease are increasing in the last few years. One of the reasons for this is hypertension. There is a great lack of awareness among people about the disease of hypertension (high blood pressure). People keep ignoring its symptoms. In such a situation, when their condition worsens, they go to the hospital. Experts say that hypertension is a silent killer. In such a situation, it is necessary to treat it as soon as there are signs of increasing blood pressure.

Dr. Pankaj Bhardwaj, Additional Professor, AIIMS Jodhpur, said that people are taking themselves towards a great danger due to discontinuation or irregular taking of high blood pressure medicines. He said that more than 63% of all deaths in India are due to non-communicable diseases and a large number of these deaths are mainly linked to high blood pressure somewhere. Although many efforts have been made in recent years to learn more about the disease, the truth is that only half of people with high blood pressure have been diagnosed, and that too in every 10. Only one patient’s blood pressure is under control.

This disease damages many organs at once

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine, Paras Hospital Gurugram said that it is very important to spread awareness about the silent killer disease like hypertension. Sometimes this disease occurs without any signs and creates an emergency situation. High blood pressure is often overlooked as a common problem. People start seeing it as a problem when it starts damaging our major organs. High blood pressure can damage your heart, brain, kidneys, eyes.

1 out of every 4 men and 1 out of every 5 women suffer from this disease. Altogether more than one billion people have the problem of hypertension. That’s why it is important that people get their blood pressure checked regularly. People who are sick should keep an eye on their blood pressure. Even though hypertension is a lifestyle disease and it can be managed, but do not be careless about it.

There is a risk of heart attack and stroke

Dr. Ashish Aggarwal, Director, Aakash Healthcare, said that if hypertension is not treated, it leads to many types of diseases. These diseases are the main

Stroke or heart attack: Having high blood pressure can lead to atherosclerosis, or hardening and thickening of the arteries, which leads to heart attack, stroke.

Congestive Heart Failure: The heart has to work harder to pump blood against the high pressure in the vessels. The body may struggle to pump enough blood to meet its needs, which can lead to heart failure.

Aneurysm: An aneurysm is formed when the vessels become weak and bulging due to high blood pressure. When an aneurysm ruptures, it can be life threatening.

    pregnancy also affects

Dr. Gauri Agarwal, fertility specialist and founder of Seeds of Innocence and Genestring Diagnostics, states that high blood pressure leads to preeclampsia. This is a dangerous disease. which occurs during pregnancy. In most cases, the disease occurs after the 20th week of pregnancy. It can damage many organs in the body, as well as harm the mother and her developing fetus (unborn baby). This condition can affect women who have high blood pressure, kidney disease, or diabetes, or a family history of preeclampsia.

    How to prevent hypertension

Dr. Sanjay Gupta tells that to avoid the problem of hypertension, maintain the right body weight, eat a balanced diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, pulses, beans and keep taking blood pressure medicines regularly.
