Vitamin D, called Sunshine Vitamin, plays an important role in mood regulation. Due to its lack, low energy, sadness and lack of motivation are seen in the person. Especially due to rain, cold or long staying indoors, the level of vitamin D in the body can fall, which increases the risk of depression.

The role of Vitamin B9 is also important

Lack of Vitamin B9 can also affect mental health. This vitamin helps in the manufacture of Feel-Good hormones (eg serotonin, dopamine) in the brain. Its deficiency can deteriorate the balance of the brain.

How to rescue?

1 Take a balanced diet- Include nutrients rich in milk, egg, fish, spinach, broccoli, banana, almonds, grains, pulses and curd in your diet.

2 Spend time in the sun- Try to sit for 15-20 minutes in the light sunlight daily so that the body can get enough Vitamin D.

3 Blood tests get it- If you are feeling fatigue, mood swing or sadness, then get Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D checked once.

4 Take the supplement with the advice of the doctor- If you are not able to complete with the diet, then consult a doctor and consume vitamin supplements.

There can also be nutritional reasons not only emotional behind depression. Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and B9 (Folate) deficiency can be prevented by identifying it on time. You can stay mentally healthy with the right catering, incense, and health checkups.
