Consume protein daily to stay fit

Eggs, lentils and broccoli are beneficial
The country’s famous nutritionist Ritika Samaddar told that protein is the building block of life. Protein is important for growth and fighting diseases. An average Indian adult needs about 50 to 60 grams of protein per day. A common belief among people is that protein is difficult to digest. It leads to weight gain and this is only for body builders. But this is wrong. It is important to ensure adequate proteins in the diet. Eating eggs and lentils is very beneficial for the supply of protein in the body. They are also rich in micronutrients like vitamin A, vitamin B12, zinc, iron and selenium.
Protein should be a quarter of the daily diet
Nutritionist Dr. Alka Kumar of AIIMS New Delhi suggests that all food groups should be included in a balanced diet. But the people of the country need to focus on taking protein because our protein intake remains low. Therefore it is necessary to consume high protein foods, such as lentils, soybeans, eggs, chicken, nuts and almonds. One-fourth of our daily diet should be protein.
Helpful in fighting diseases
Dr. Alka said that protein intake is necessary to compensate for the loss of muscles after recovery from the disease. It helps in fighting diseases. Lack of protein intake leads to weakness and fatigue in the body, it takes time to heal wounds and in the long term it leads to malnutrition as well as lifestyle related diseases.
Protein deficiency in 73% of people
The Indian Market Research Bureau (IMRB) conducted a new survey to find out the protein deficiency and protein awareness among the people of India, which shows that 73 percent of the rich people living in cities are protein deficient and 93 of them Percentage people are not aware of how much protein they need daily.
