The outbreak of dengue fever is increasing rapidly in many states of the country. In such a situation, it becomes necessary that everyone should be alert about this disease and also keep their family safe from it. Doctors say that by timely identification of the symptoms of dengue, it can be easily controlled. If someone has high fever with chills, then definitely get a blood test done. If dengue is confirmed in the test, immediately consult a doctor.

Dr Yudhveer Singh of AIIMS, New Delhi says that dengue cases are reported every year in this season. Most patients are mild symptomatic and recover within a week or two. In some cases, the patient’s condition is critical and it is those patients who are negligent in the treatment. Therefore, if someone has had dengue then he should be careful. Dr Richa Sharin of the Critical Care Department of Fortis Hospital said that at present a lot of dengue and malaria patients are coming to the hospital. The problem of high fever and vomiting diarrhea is also being seen in these patients. Patients are being treated according to the prescribed protocol.

Dr Richa says that this disease can be easily controlled by identifying and treating the symptoms of dengue at the right time. According to the doctor, the symptoms of dengue are as follows.

– Sudden high fever with chills
– Pain in muscles, head and joints
– Pain behind the eyes
– extreme weakness
– Loss of appetite and nausea
– bad taste in the mouth

preventive measures

– Do not allow water to collect in and around the house
Do not allow water to accumulate in coolers, pots, broken utensils and old tires etc.
Keep the water tank and pot properly covered
– Get fine mesh on the window doors
Wear clothes that cover the body more to protect against mosquitoes
– Keep emptying the water collection tray at the bottom of the fridge
Eat freshly prepared food, do not eat stale food
