No criminal wants to be in jail. It is the dream of every prisoner to get out of the prison walls. For this people are ready to pay any cost to the lawyers. This corona period has changed the situation. The Madhya Pradesh government has extended the parole period of 4500 prisoners by 30 days.
In view of the corona virus, many prisoners were released on parole from the jails of Madhya Pradesh. State Home and Jail Minister Narottam Mishra said on Saturday that at present about 4500 prisoners are out on parole for 60 days from the jails of Madhya Pradesh. He said that in view of the (Covid-19) epidemic, the government has decided to increase the parole period of these prisoners from 30 days to 90 days.
RT-PCR test of prisoners will be done
The minister said that this decision has been taken because it may happen that these prisoners, who are currently out of jail on parole, bring the corona virus with them to the jail. Due to this, other prisoners in jail can also get corona infected. He said that along with this, the state government has also decided that RT-PCR test will be conducted for all the prisoners lodged in the jails.
Parole was granted after the order of the Supreme Court
Narottam Mishra said that 18 thousand prisoners lodged in the jails of the state have been vaccinated against the COVID vaccine. During this, more than 100 camps have been set up in jails across the state for vaccination. Since the outbreak of Corona virus in the country, the government was instructed by the Supreme Court to reduce the crowd in the jails. After this, in March last year, the jail inmates were released on parole for the first time.
