During low blood pressure the level of blood pressure falls down. These conditions are usually caused by stress, pregnancy, side effects of certain medications, eating habits, dehydration and anemia, nutritional deficiencies, low salt intake or allergic reactions.

This condition can also cause brain, kidney and heart damage. Let us find out which home remedies you can try to control low blood pressure.

salt water

Common salt or table salt contains sodium, which helps in increasing the blood pressure level immediately. It is also important to note that high sodium intake can also lead to stomach ulcers, kidney stones and inflammation in the body. Mix one and a half teaspoon of salt in a glass of water and drink it once a week. You can also opt for sports beverages and other sodium-rich energy drinks.

milk and almonds

Milk and almonds, both can help in controlling and normalizing your blood pressure levels. Just soak five to six almonds overnight. Peel and grind them in the morning and make a thick paste. Boil it with a glass of milk and drink it every morning.

basil leaves

Tulsi is rich in potassium, magnesium and vitamin C. Basil leaves help in controlling blood pressure. These leaves also contain an antioxidant called eugenol which helps in maintaining blood pressure and also lowers cholesterol levels.

caffeine

You can drink a cup of caffeine in the morning. Make sure you include a strong cup of black coffee in your daily diet.

beetroot juice

Raw beetroot can help in maintaining your blood pressure. Include this healthy vegetable in your daily diet. Add some raw beetroot slices to your salad or add them to your vegetable or fruit smoothies. Drinking two glasses of plain beet juice in the morning can also help in fighting the symptoms of low blood pressure.

Raisin

They are rich in anti-oxidant vitamins and dietary fiber, which help in controlling blood pressure levels. Before sleeping every night, filter a handful of raisins and soak them in water. Consume raisins on an empty stomach in the morning. Drink the water in which the raisins were soaked.
