Leave these habits to keep kidney healthy

Kidney is an essential part of our body. It helps in removing extra fluid, toxic substances from our body. Apart from this, it helps to keep water, salt, minerals in the body in balanced quantity. Without it the nerves, cells and muscles of the body cannot function properly.

Affecting the kidneys increases the risk of many serious diseases. Keeping the kidney healthy is very important to keep the body healthy. Do you know that our bad habits have an effect on health.

1. Overuse of Painkillers

Many people have slight pain and eat painkillers. By taking these painkillers, the pain subsides. But it is harmful to the kidney. Especially if you already have any kidney related disease. Always take painkillers even after consulting a doctor.

2. Eating more salt in food

If you have too much salt in your diet, then the problem of blood pressure can increase. Consume more spices and herbs than salt in food. If you start consuming them, then you will reduce the intake of salt.

3. Processed Food

Processed food is rich in sodium and phosphorus. If you have any kidney related problem, then you should avoid consuming packaged food. Consuming high amounts of phosphorus, processed food damages the kidneys and bones.

4. Not keeping the body hydrated

Keeping the body hydrated helps in flushing out the toxic substances. Drinking enough water can prevent kidney stones. People who have kidney disease should drink less amount of water. But those whose kidney is healthy should drink 3 to 4 liters of water.

5. Not sleeping enough

Good sleep is very important for healthy. Get enough sleep to keep the kidney healthy. Problems can worsen due to not getting enough sleep.

6. Consumption of sugar in excess

Consuming high amounts of sugary things increases obesity. Apart from this, the problem of high blood pressure and diabetes can increase. Starch products such as biscuits, cereals, white bread should not be consumed in the diet. Before buying any product, read its label thoroughly.

7. Smoking

Smoking is injurious to health. People who smoke have protein in their urine which can damage the kidneys.
