So far this month, only two people have lost their lives due to the infection.
According to the Health Department of Delhi, 21 new cases were reported in the capital on Saturday. At the same time, 22 patients recovered. So far 1439 358 people have been infected in the capital. Out of these, 1413943 patients have been cured, while 25089 patients have died. The death rate from corona in Delhi is 1.74 percent. There are 326 active patients of infection left. The number of patients in hospitals has come down to 206. At the same time, three patients are being treated in COVID Care Center and 96 in home isolation. On Friday, 48,870 tests were conducted to test the corona. In which 0.04 percent people were found infected. Of these, 43504 tests were done from RTPCR and 5366 tests from Rapid Antigen. So far 28608161 tests have been conducted in Delhi.
64 percent of the population has taken the first dose
So far 1 crore 94 lakh doses have been administered in Delhi. 64 percent of eligible people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Experts say that the situation in the capital is much better than Corona. Herd immunity has been formed in people against Corona here. Due to this the virus is not spreading. Along with this, vaccination is also happening at a fast pace. If the vaccination continues at this pace, then in the coming few months all eligible people will get the first dose of the vaccine. The Health Department says that a special vaccination program is being run in all the districts to increase the vaccination. Under this, people are being vaccinated directly at the vaccine center without prior registration.
cases will remain low
AIIMS doctor Amarinder Singh Malhi says that there will be a decrease in corona cases in Delhi in the coming times as well. However, people need to be very cautious.
