According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department on Monday, 53 cases have been reported in Lucknow, 38 in Kanpur Nagar, 34 each in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Lakhimpur Kheri and 31 in Meerut in the last 24 hours in the state. With this, maximum 24 people have died in Kanpur city. While nine people have died in Gorakhpur, seven in Bareilly and four in Meerut.
2,860 patients discharged from hospital
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said on Monday that 727 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours. Along with this, 2,860 patients from Corona virus went to their homes after recovering. So far, 16,62,069 people have become free from corona virus in the state. During this, 15,681 patients of the virus are being treated in government and private hospitals along with home quarantine in the state.
Testing of more than 5.16 crore samples
He said that for the last one and a half months, the number of patients being treated daily is decreasing. In such a situation, the rate of infection is decreasing. During this, the percentage of patients recovering from corona infection in the state has increased to 97.80 percent. According to Prasad, more than 2.80 lakh COVID samples were tested in the state on Sunday. In this, more than 5.16 crore samples have been tested so far.
‘Women Special’ corona vaccination booth started in districts
He said that more than two crore doses of COVID vaccine have been given in the state so far and ‘Women Special’ Corona Vaccination Booths have been started in all the districts from today. At the same time, from June 14, special arrangements will be made for corona vaccination of workers who come in contact with the most common citizens such as rickshaws, e-rickshaws, three wheelers, milk vendors, handcarts and stalls shopkeepers etc.
Not a single case came in 45 districts in 24 hours
Along with this, according to the Health Department, not a single patient has been found in the last 24 hours in two districts of the state – Kanpur Dehat and Kaushambi. While not a single case has been reported in 45 districts. The most important thing is that 100 or more cases of corona virus have not been reported in any district of the state.
