COVID in West Bengal (West Bengal Corona cases) continues to wreak havoc. New cases are increasing continuously. Meanwhile, the increasing cases have caught the doctors as well as the health workers. More than 350 doctors in various hospitals have been found infected with COVID in the recent past. NRS Medical College and Hospital only (NRS Medical College And Hospital) 198 doctors including the principal have been reported to be infected with corona. In the government hospital, so many doctors have come under the grip of corona that questions are being raised on how the service will continue.
Corona has also got corona infected on NRS principal Shaibal Mukherjee. With so many doctors affected, it is natural to face a crisis in the care of patients. The hospital authorities have started thinking about how to keep the hospital running. It is learned that for the time being there will be some reduction in outdoor or outdoor services. Efforts are being made to keep the services of emergency or other departments running.
Health services are being affected due to infection of doctors
As per the current protocol, the isolation does not end earlier than 14 days. In such a situation, not only 100 people in this hospital, but many other people have also been infected with corona. As a result, if everyone is sent into isolation, there is a natural possibility of disruption of service. The number of patients in other hospitals is also increasing. Due to this, it is not possible to handle the situation by bringing doctors from other places. Public health expert Kajalkrishna Banik said, “For the last few days, doctors in every hospital are suffering from corona and this is the biggest concern.” Anirban Dalui said that it is necessary to emphasize on telemedicine in such a situation. He said that everyone thinks that this is a common problem. It will not cause serious illness. But he does not understand that if the infection rate does not come down in India, there will be pressure on the health system.
