The Kashmir Files Oscar 2023: Mithun Chakraborty has given a statement on Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid’s ‘vulgar and propaganda’ statement after The Kashmir Files was shortlisted for Oscar 2023.

The Kashmir Files Oscar 2023: Included in the blockbuster films of the year 2020 ‘The Kashmir Files’ oscars 2023 Has been shortlisted for the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri Gave through social media. After getting this big success of the film, appeared in this film and the veteran actor of Bollywood Mithun Chakraborty (Mithun Chakraborty) has hit back at the ‘vulgar and propaganda’ statement of IFFI jury Nadav Lapid.
In a conversation with Times Now, Mithun said, “Very happy that The Kashmir Files has been shortlisted for the Oscars. The jury which called the film vulgar and propaganda got its answer today. People liked the film and this is the result.”

Talking further, Mithun Chakraborty said, “I will not give any controversial statement. It was sad when the film was not allowed in some theatres, but the film got shortlisted for the Oscars.” Further, the actor also wished other shortlisted films.
Apart from ‘The Kashmir Files’, Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi South blockbuster film RRR, Kantara and Gujarati Chello Show have also been shortlisted for Oscars 2023.
What was the ‘vulgar and propaganda’ statement?
Let us tell you, from 20 November 2022, the 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India was organized in Goa, where many films including The Kashmir Files were screened. On the last day of the film festival i.e. on November 28, Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid, who was the head of the jury of the festival, said that he felt after watching ‘The Kashmir Files’ that it was a vulgar and propaganda film. After this statement, Nadav Lapid was also criticized a lot.
Significantly, The Kashmir Files was released in theaters on 11 March 2022. This film, based on Kashmiri Pandits, got a very good response from the people, as well as the film had to face criticism. Made on a budget of around 15 crores, this film had earned 340 crores from all over the world.
