The police have also recovered hard disks of computers, iPhones, laptops and many important documents during the raid. Investigation has revealed that porn videos were uploaded from this office through V Transfer.
According to sources in Mumbai Police, soon actress Shilpa Shetty may also be questioned in this case. Kundra is currently in police custody till July 23, although if police sources are to be believed, he is not cooperating in the interrogation so far. Police has also issued a ‘lookout’ notice against Kundra’s brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi. Bakshi is a co-accused in this case and is also the co-owner of Kenrin Company, which makes the ‘Hotshot’ app. Joint Commissioner of Police Milind Bharambe said that no active role of Shilpa has come to the fore in Vian Company, but we are probing her role.
5 FIRs registered in this case so far
Three days ago, a rented bungalow was raided in Mad village of Malad West and Kundra was arrested only after getting concrete evidence from there. Kundra is accused of making obscene films and broadcasting and sharing them through certain apps. In this case the Crime Branch team had registered CR- 103/2021. In which IPC sections 292 (transmission of pornographic literature), 293 (transmission of pornography to persons below the age of 20 years), 34 (criminal act done with common intention) and section 67 (publication of objectionable information), 67A of the IT Act. (publishing sex or obscene information by electronic means) and section 420 (cheating or dishonestly) of the IPC. In the investigation of this case, the connection of India head of Kundra’s company Umesh Kamat was revealed. On February 4 this year, the Crime Branch had registered the first case related to a porn film. After that, two cases were registered by Maharashtra Cyber Police, one in Lonavala and two at Malvani police station.
It used to cost Rs 3-4 lakh to manage the app.
According to the police, Kundra had put two employees named Pratikesh and Ishwar on the payroll of Vian Industries Limited to maintain the ‘Hotshot’ app. Kenrin used to charge ‘Vian Industries Limited’ i.e. Raj’s company Rs 3-4 lakh every month to manage and maintain the company’s ‘Hotshot’ app. It has been revealed in the investigation that through this app, Raj Kundra has earned more than 10 lakhs many times in a day. Details of some of his bank accounts have come to the fore, in which it is revealed that Kundra’s company used to earn from 50 thousand to 10 lakh rupees in a day.
Crime Branch was behind Kundra for 5 months
Before arresting Kundra, the Crime Branch team conducted a rigorous investigation for 5 months. The Crime Branch team was looking for clues about the gang making pornographic films, during which Raj Kundra’s name came to the fore. It has been revealed in the investigation that by targeting 20-year-old struggling actress, she used to force her to work in contract films. A case was registered against Kundra on 4 February 2021 itself.
Struggling actors of 20 to 25 years were the target
According to sources, the investigation has revealed that Raj Kundra is the mastermind of the racket of pornographic films. Kundra was running a big porn film racket under the guise of a production house meant for film production. They used to target girls in the age group of 20 to 25 years and get contracts signed. In this contract there was a clause to file a case for leaving the film.
This 30 to 50 thousand rupees were given to an artist for a day. The bungalow in Mud, which was raided by the Mumbai Police, was rented by Raj Kundra’s team for Rs 20,000 per day. Investigation has revealed that the bungalow was rented in the name of shooting Bhojpuri and Marathi films. Before the shooting started, the bungalow was covered with blue curtains from all sides.
