It’s a day of milestones for Pen Studios’ as the Hindi dubbed version of the 2017 Telugu actioner ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’, titled ‘Khoonkhar’ becomes the first Indian film to cross 500 million views on YouTube channel. It’s a big achievement for any Indian film and also for the team of Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Rakul Preet Singh and Jagapathi Babu-starrer, who are all so ecstatic with this feat.

Feeling elated about the achievement, Pen Studios’ MD and chairman, Dr. Jayantilal Gada, expresses his emotions saying, “It’s a wonderful achievement for all of us at the Pen Studios as Khoonkhar crosses 500 million views, becoming the first Indian film to do so. It proves that cinema goes beyond the barrier of language and good cinema can’t be held back. Now, we just hope to back more such projects and achieve higher and more milestones with them.”

The popularity of the film can be accounted to the relatable and exciting plot of the film which depicts the story of Gagan and Sweety, who fall in love but are forced to break up because her father disapproves of him. What ensues are the struggles the couple faces to get back to each other and achieve their happy ending.

The star cast of the film also enjoy a huge fan base not only in the South but across the country, thus making the film a popular choice amongst them. The film has a big repeat value and several viewers have watched the film multiple times along with recommending it to their peers. The film also enjoys a huge support and positive feedback in the comments section.

Khoonkhar has also been a huge attraction on the satelite and is loved by the audience. And ever since it was released on YouTube, it has seen an exponential rise in viewership and the 500 million views on the film are still increasing by the day, the film has 75,000 comments and a whopping 28 lakhs. Its likely to soon touch a 100 Million!
