Salman Khan
Salman Khan has an old relationship with controversies and has also been associated with the police and the court-court. In this sequence, Salman Khan had to face the jail air three years before today.
On 5 April 2018, Jodhpur’s CJM Court sentenced Salman Khan to 5 years in prison in the Blackbuck Poaching Case and had to spend two days in jail. During the shooting of the film Hum Sath Sath Hain in 1998, Salman was accused of hunting two black deer.
On April 5, 2018, CJM Dev Kumar Khatri held Salman Khan guilty under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife Conservation Act, against him by the Vishnoi Samaj, which considers the black deer to be venerable. Sentenced to jail for one year.
Together, the CJM court acquitted Salman along with his other fellow actors present at the time of the incident, including big names like Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam Kothari, and Sonali Bendre, for lack of evidence.
Many cases were filed against Salman
In its 201-page judgment, the court said that “the accused is a well-known artist.” The work done by which is also followed by the general public. Despite this, the accused have hunted two wildlife antelopes. “
Referring to other criminal cases related to Salman Khan, the judge said that two other cases of deer poaching were registered on the accused in the past as well. Another episode on Muljim was the hit and run case in Mumbai. He hunted deer for hobby and leisure.
Together, the judge harshly criticized Salman’s previous exploits, stating that “he shot and hunted two innocent, silent wildlife antelope of the Black Buck antelope Cervicapara species recorded in the Wildlife Protection Act.” It is not justified keeping this in view and keeping in view the increasing incidents of poaching of wildlife at present and giving the accused the benefit of the probation act. ” This was not the first criminal case against Salman. Salman has been caught in the grip of law on many serious charges in the past as well.
Hit and run case
On 6 May 2015, Salman Khan was sentenced to five years in jail by the Mumbai Sessions Court in the 2002 hit and run case under Section 304 of the IPC. Salman was alleged to have drunk his car on the footpath of a bakery in Mumbai on September 28, 2002, in which three people sleeping there were seriously injured and one was killed. However, later the Bombay High Court acquitted Salman Khan of all charges.
Arms Act Case
A case was registered against Salman Khan in October 1998 for allegedly possessing weapons with an expired license during the alleged poaching of two black deer in Kankani village of Rajasthan. But in January 2017, he was acquitted of all charges in the Arms Act case.
Mathania Blackbuck poaching case
In 1998, several cases of poaching were registered on Salman Khan. He was also accused of poaching a blackbuck in Mathania on 28–29 September 2016. In this case, he had to spend time in jail from 10 April to 13 April and again from 26 August to 30 August 2007. Later, the Rajasthan High Court acquitted him in this case.
Chinkara poaching case
On 27 September 1998, Salman Khan was accused of hunting chinkara on the border of Bhavad village near Jodhpur. On 7 February 2006, the court sentenced Salman Khan to one year in this case. He was later acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court on 25 July 2016.
