Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (B J P) has alleged that the film was not selected for Nandan because it featured Mithun Chakraborty in an important role.
The co-producer of this film, Dev alias Deepak Adhikari, distanced himself from these controversies and said that the film is already being shown in many single screens and multiplexes across the state and it is getting very good response from the audience.
Mithun Chakraborty’s film did not get place in Nandan
Trinamool Congress MP said, it would have been better if this film of ours was included in the list. Hope my next film is likely to get this place as far as Nandan is concerned, we have nothing to comment on this issue, Nandan CEO Mitra Chatterjee told PTI. We have a fair policy, we promote good Bengali cinema and we always try to accommodate such films based on the availability of halls at that time.
Mithun Chakraborty has joined BJP, campaigning for Panchayat elections
