Now the screening of these films has been kept for the jury members of the Oscars in Kolkata itself. After which Vidya Balan’s film Lioness and Vicky Kaushal’s film Sardar Udham Singh have been selected. Let us tell you that both these films have been introduced on the OTT platform Amazon Prime.
These 14 films also include Malayalam film Nayatu, Tamil film Mandela, Vidya Balan’s ‘Lioness’ in Hindi films and the recent release Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sardar Udham Singh’.
Let us tell you that Sardar Udham is the story of a courageous revolutionary, Sardar Udham Singh, who was on a mission to avenge the death of those who were brutally killed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Whereas the story of the film lioness shows the difficulties going on between humans and animals. Amit Masurkar has directed this film.
Jallikattu is also included in the list
Let us tell you that last year the Malayalam film Jallikattu, directed by Jose Pellissery, was sent to the Oscars. However, the film could not make it to the final list of the Oscar jury. In such a situation, it has to be seen whether these special films get a place in the Oscars or not.
