Hyderabad Cheating Case: Cyberabad Police has Hyderabad A Bollywood actor and his wife have been arrested in a cheating case. It is alleged that the man, along with his wife, extorted lakhs of rupees from his parents on the pretext of getting a child artist to work. Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra has told that the accused promised to get the girl a role in a promotional video along with top actors and cricketers including Rashmika Mandanna and extorted several lakhs of rupees.
According to the police, the accused have been identified as 47-year-old Apoorva Davda alias Armaan Arjun Kapoor alias Dr. Amit and 26-year-old Natasha Kapoor alias Nazish Memon alias Meghna. Both of them defrauded the child artist’s parents of about Rs 15 lakh. According to the Indian Express, the police officer has told that both the accused have executed many similar cases in the past as well. Apart from this case, three more cases are registered against him.

In this, Davda is accused of organizing ramp shows in several malls through his modeling agency in the name of taking children for modeling assignments along with his wife. The complainant has said that he had gone to a mall to celebrate his daughter’s birthday, where the modeling agency approached him. There also the girl was made to walk the ramp and later before the selection, the accused told the girl’s parents that there would be a ramp walk for the final round. For this, Rs 3.25 lakh was deposited, which was said to be refundable. A total of 14 lakh 12 thousand was demanded for the 6-day photoshoot and it was said that there would be an advertisement shoot for a biscuit company with Rashmika Mandanna. The complainant says that he gave Rs 14 lakh to the accused.
In this case, the police arrested the accused couple and recovered Rs 15 lakh 60 thousand in cash from them. Apart from this, the police have also seized four iPhones and an Apple laptop. Police said that Gawda has also worked in Bollywood films Om and Chand Sa Roshan Chehar.
