Encounter between security forces and Naxalites lasted for 4 hours
Let us tell you that this Naxalite attack took place in Sukma Bijapur on Saturday. According to Bijapur SP Kamalochan Kashyap, the bodies of 17 soldiers were recovered from the site of the encounter on Sunday, after which the number of martyred soldiers increased to 22. Also, it has also come to light that more than two dozen weapons of Naxalite security personnel were taken with them after the encounter.
After this attack, the Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel (CM Bhupesh Baghel on Naxal Encounter) had said in a statement that the Naxalites had suffered a great loss in this encounter. Firing continued for 4 hours continuously. Simultaneously, the CM said that the martyrdom of the soldiers will not go in vain.
President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah strongly condemned the attack. While paying homage to the martyred soldiers, everyone also expressed condolences to their family. Today i.e. on Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah reached Chhattisgarh, where he met the injured soldiers and asked about their condition.
