Kamal Haasan is contesting the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election, also against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan
Recently, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Indian Cinema Superstar Rajinikanth (Rajinikanth). When this news was revealed, there were questions about the Central Government awarding the Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, fans of South films superstar Kamal Haasan have expressed their displeasure, after which the Central Government’s intention to award Dadasaheb Award to Rajinikanth has once again come under question.
Kamal Haasan’s fans are seen raging. Kamal Haasan has as much name in South as Rajinikanth. Kamal Haasan is contesting the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election, also against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). There was a lot of talk of Rajinikanth joining politics last year, but the veteran actor announced this year that he would not enter politics. Rajinikanth’s fans were heartbroken by this.
Rajinikanth would give a tough fight to BJP if he enters politics
Rajinikanth has been seen speaking out loud on the policies of the BJP government at the Center on several occasions. When Rajinikanth refused to enter politics, the BJP breathed a sigh of relief. If Rajinikanth had come into politics this year and had contested the election, perhaps the BJP would have got a tough fight in Tamil Nadu. BJP’s defeat was certain when two veteran actors from South Film Industry Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan entered the electoral fray.
In such a situation, when Rajinikanth refused to enter politics, it was believed that this is the reason why the Central Government was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award on the actor. Kamal Haasan’s fans are alleging that his favorite actor is contesting against the BJP, so he is not being given the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
However, Prakash Javadekar has already made it clear that the jury has selected to confer the Dadasaheb Phalke Award on Rajinikanth. There is no participation of the central government in this. In a statement, Prakash Javadekar had said that this decision was taken by a jury of five members, including Asha Bhosle, Vishwajit Chatterjee, Shankar Mahadevan, Subhash Ghai and Mohanlal. Unanimously, the jury decided to give the Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Rajinikanth.
