Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty had filed a defamation claim against 29 media houses after the arrest of Raj Kundra. The Bombay High Court heard the matter today.

Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, was arrested on July 19 for making obscene films. During this, the names of Raj’s children and the entire family were taken during media coverage. After which Shilpa Shetty had filed a defamation case against many media houses. On which the Bombay High Court heard on Monday.

In this hearing, the Bombay High Court has talked about the effects of Shilpa Shetty on children. Justice Gautam Patel heard the defamation case filed by Shilpa Shetty in July for publishing videos and articles against her and her family.

During the hearing, the Bombay High Court said that it is concerned about the media reports about Shilpa Shetty’s minor children. Justice Patel further said that I am not worried about Shilpa Shetty. She will take care of herself. I am more concerned about their minor children. Media reports on Shilpa’s personal life with her children are a matter of concern. In such cases, it is the children who are at the center.

Reprimanded for the early hearing

The court also asked Shilpa Shetty’s counsel why she was in a hurry to hear the petition. Shilpa is not going to get permanent treatment from media reports at the moment. Then why the rush of this case. This case related to Raj Kundra is going to go on for some more time.

Case was done against 29 media houses

Let us tell you that Shilpa Shetty had filed a defamation suit in the Bombay High Court against 29 media houses for ‘false reporting and maligning her image’ in the Raj Kundra pornography case. These media houses also include social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.

During the last hearing regarding this case, the court had said that it cannot pass an order to shut down the media for reporting anything against Shilpa Shetty. However, the court had directed the removal of three videos uploaded on YouTube.
