District Town Planner (DTP) Amit Madholia said that these were unauthorized farmhouses built in the catchment area of the lake. All these three farm houses have been sealed. They were built in the Aravalli range without any permission.
Following the order of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in the case Sonya Ghosh vs State of Haryana, a drive was launched against the three farm houses with the help of the police. A police team was deployed there under the leadership of Station House Officer of Sadar Sohna. A senior official of the department said on the condition of anonymity that one of the three farm houses belongs to singer Daler Mehndi, which is built on about one and a half acres.
