Theaters will reopen in Maharashtra from October 22 with certain conditions, including the permission of 50 percent audience. (signal photo)
The Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra had already announced permission to open cinema halls and multiplexes in the state on 22 October. But SOP was not issued for that. This was the reason that for the past several days the business class associated with the cinema world was upset. Because theaters could not be opened without SOP. But on October 11, this wait was over and the Maharashtra government finally issued the SOP.
SOP stands for Standard Operating Procedure, i.e. Standard Operating Procedure by the Government. In order to open theaters and multiplexes in Maharashtra, the demand made under it is that social distancing should be taken care of inside the theatre, wearing of face masks should be mandatory and the use of sanitizers should also be done inside the theatres. Along with this many other instructions have also been given.
Must show certificate of vaccination
If you want to go to the cinema hall and watch the film and you have been vaccinated, then before entering the theater you will have to show your certificate of vaccination. However, those who have not yet been vaccinated can also go to the cinema hall. Provided that they have to show themselves in a safe position on their Arogya Setu app. The cinema hall staff will also check their temperature before the audience goes to the theatre.
Permission has been given with 50 percent occupancy
At present, it has been allowed to open in theaters with 50 percent occupancy, so that there is not much crowd in the theater. Along with this, he has also been asked to work on stagger show timing. It has also been said in the SOP that the audience should give preference to online payment. All cinema halls have been instructed to thoroughly sanitize and disinfect the entire auditorium after every show. With this, the same employees will be able to work in theaters who have received both doses of the vaccine.
Food items will not be allowed
On one hand, while there is happiness for the audience to open the cinema hall, on the other hand there is also a matter of disappointment. Actually, the audience who has the habit of eating cold drink popcorn or anything while watching the film, will not be given this permission inside the cinema hall. In the SOP issued by the government, it has been instructed that popcorn, cold drinks or any food items will not be allowed in the theater.
