What were the allegations against Salman?
Let us tell you that in his personal complaint given before the magistrate, journalist Ashok Pandey had alleged that Salman Khan had snatched his phone while cycling on the streets of Mumbai. During that time some media people were taking his photographs. He had claimed that Salman had argued with him and threatened him.
Last year, the magistrate had ordered a police probe under section 202 of the CrPC in this matter. Apart from this, taking the proceedings forward, summons was also sent to Salman under section 204 of CrPC. Salman’s bodyguard Nawaz Sheikh was also made an accused in this case.

What did the court say?
In the last hearing, the High Court had stayed the summons. The court had said that there is a need to improve the statement of the complainant. Justice Revati Mohite Dere had said that being a journalist, the complainant should not remain silent and all his allegations should be in the first complaint itself. In the case, Salman’s lawyer had argued that the actor had only asked his bodyguard to stop the journalist from taking photographs.
