The shooting of this show started last month in Rajasthan. Shreya Patel and Vansh Sayani are playing the main characters in it. Apart from these, many actors like Riddhi Nayak Shukla, Ketki Dave, Anshul Trivedi, Seema Mishra and Supriya Shukla are going to be seen in this show. The new show is going to be very close to Balika Vadhu, which aired in the year 2008. However, its story has been woven according to today’s time.
Status of child marriage in the country
It is said that when the times change, the way of thinking of people also changes. However, these are just things to say. Those who are fanatics, no matter how many examples of laws are set in front of them, they do what their stereotyped thinking says. Balika Vadhu is also going to be based on the contractors of some such society, for whom the evil practice like child marriage is only a social rule for them, to fulfill which they go to any extent.
Boys and girls who would not know the meaning of marriage, tied them in a strong relationship. Even if the relationship is strong, but it is tied with a raw string, which goes on making it weak with time. If you are thinking that it is 21st century and now cases like child marriage will be less, then it is wrong. According to the United Nations, India has recorded the highest number of child marriage cases during the coronavirus pandemic and these figures are very high.
According to the report, activists and NGOs campaigning against child marriage received many calls during the pandemic, in which complaints were made about child marriage. In India, it is a crime to marry girls below the age of 18 and boys below the age of 21. In Maharashtra last year, 208 child marriages were stopped by the authorities in five months. Whereas from 2019 to March 2020, this figure was 116. Similarly, cases of child marriage were also registered in other parts of the country including Rajasthan. In view of these cases, the central government should take strict steps for this, so that the evil practice like child marriage can be stopped and the lives of innocent children can be saved from being at stake.
