It has been a long time since Rakesh Bapat became a part of the Daily Show. He last did ‘Qubul Hai’ seven years ago.

Actor Rakesh Bapat has been seen playing the lead role in many films. He has also been a part of many shows. But he has been away from the screen for almost seven years. He has rarely been in the media headlines in these years. It has been a long time since Rakesh Bapat became a part of the Daily Show. He last did ‘Qubool Hai’ seven years ago. But now he is all set to make a comeback with Rajan Shahi’s new TV show, in which Shaheer Sheikh is also going to be seen.
Rakesh is returning to the show after 7 years
Talking about coming back to the fiction genre on TV, Rakesh says, “Yes, it has been a long time since I did TV shows. ‘Qubool Hai’ was my last show, which came in the year 2014. For me, the vibes of the people I am working with matter. The team has to be right. The reason for staying away from TV was that somewhere the energy was not matching, but in this case my energy matches with that of Rajan sir. We have worked together in ‘Saat Phere’, which was my first show. I love his creativity and when he offered me this role, I did it immediately.
Rakesh will play the role of Shaheer’s elder brother in the show and he is very keen to be back on the TV sets. He said, “I am excited to be back on the grind. TV is a regular job, it is not like those films where you get gap and time to prepare. So, it’s a stressful job and I love that. I am eagerly waiting to go on the sets and relive those old days. TV has groomed me as an actor and I really have to thank Medium. Rakesh Bapat started his career with films like ‘Tum Bin’ and ‘Dil Vil Pyaar Vyar’.
Rakesh was seen in ‘Bigg Boss 15’
What matters to him today is a good role, whatever the medium. He is in a happy place in terms of work and says that he wants to continue doing good work in all mediums – films, OTT and television. Rakesh was last seen in ‘Bigg Boss 15’ but had to leave due to health problems. His good friend Shamita Shetty is still in the house and she is doing well there. “I have always said that Shamita is a substance woman. She is very transparent and is doing well in ‘Bigg Boss’.”
