Atal Residential School Admission 2023: The admission process in Atal residential schools will start from 15 February 2023 in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi) In 2019, announced the establishment of residential schools in the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Classes will start in these schools from the new academic session.
According to a senior official, the Uttar Pradesh government will start studies in Atal residential schools in the coming academic session with the aim of providing free and high-quality education to the children of labourers.

Application forms can be available between 15 to 20 February 2023. The official said that the option of online application will also be there. The entrance examination to be conducted through the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may be held in late May and the merit list is likely to be released in mid-June. Classes will start in July.
Entrance exam will be conducted by CBSE
Initially 80 students will get admission in class 6 in each Atal residential school. Maximum two children from a laborer’s family can take admission in these schools. The official said that an MoU is being signed to conduct the entrance exam through CBSE. The admission process will be done through the entrance test. Merit will be prepared on the basis of entrance test and admission will be done accordingly.
Recruitment process in these schools will start soon
Each Atal residential school being built on the lines of Navodaya Vidyalayas will have a principal, an administrative officer and 11 teachers. The recruitment process of teachers and other staff members for these schools being built in each of the 18 divisional headquarter cities will start soon.
The appointment of principals is likely to be completed by mid-February and others by mid-May. CM Yogi Adityanath had earlier said that schools would provide free facilities to the children of registered labourers. He had said that the state government would lead the students towards self-reliance through skill development.
What is Atal Residential School Scheme
Under these schemes, new schools will be run in UP. Children of destitute and weaker section workers will be admitted in these schools and they will be provided free education by the state government. Children of laborers in the age group of 6 to 14 years can enroll in these schools.
