Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the datesheet for the 10th and 12th class board exams. CBSE Board Exam will start from 15 February, which is going to run till 5 April. The 10th class board exams will start from February 15, which will be conducted by March 21, 2023, while the class 12 exams will be held till April 5. In such a situation, students now have only time for revision. Students are busy preparing for the exam wholeheartedly.
However, there are many students who prepare a lot for the exam, but some topics are left out. Apart from this, there are some students who go to the exam unprepared. Such students try to cheat during the exam so that they can pass. But they are unaware of the consequences if they are caught copying.

Let us tell you today that if a student is caught cheating in the board exam, then what are the punishments he can get?
- Ineligible: If a student is caught by the teacher cheating in the exam, then he/she can be disqualified by the board from taking the exam that year. This means that he will not be able to give the board exam that year.
- Ban on giving exam for 5 years: How severe the punishment for cheating can be can be gauged from the fact that cheating students can be debarred from giving exams for five years. He will not be able to take part in any board exam for the next five years.
- Banned forever: In view of the serious matter of cheating, the CBSE board can also ban the students for life, that is, they will never be able to give the board exam.
- Answer sheet collection: If a student tries to cheat during the exam, then the invigilator can take his answer sheet. Instead, the student will be given a new sheet, on which he will have to write all the answers again.
- Strict action: If the matter of cheating is very serious, then the exam center can call the police. To investigate the case of cheating, the police can record the statement and send it to the board’s office for further action.
- Punishment for talking to the invigilator: During the board exam, if a student is caught talking to the invigilator and it seems that he is trying to persuade him to reveal the answer. In such a situation, action can be taken against the student on the basis of rules.
Keeping all these things in mind, students are advised not to try any kind of cheating during the exam. They can also refer to sample papers for better preparation of the exam.
