Jamia Millia Islamia Uzma Khan: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMIUzma Khan, an alumnus of Uzma Khan, has received offers from six US universities to do a fully funded PhD. According to the statement of JMI, Uzma Khan has been offered 100% tuition fee waiver along with monthly salary for on-campus job of research or teaching assistant in six US universities. These universities include Lehigh University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Maryland in Baltimore County, SUNY (State University of New York) at Buffalo, SUNY Albany and the University of New Hampshire. According to the statement, Uzma has chosen Lehigh University and is going to study there in August 2022. The university has also given him an allowance to come there.
Uzma to work with Wireless and Signal Processing Lab
After getting the scholarship, Uzma says, ‘I am taking admission in Lehigh University because my educational qualification and research interest match perfectly with my potential supervisor.’ Jamia University said in its statement, the lab in which Uzma is going to work is doing research on current and future technology. This is a wireless and signal processing lab. The lab’s research matches Uzma’s research area, as she also wants to work on underwater wireless communication and signal processing.
Came first in class while studying in Jamia
Uzma Khan had scored good marks in IELTS and GRE, after which she was considered eligible to apply to American universities. Uzma sent e-mails to professors who were doing research on the same subject as her. After this he had a technical interview. The interview was conducted by a committee consisting of members of the lab/department in which Uzma wanted to take admission. He successfully passed this interview as well. While studying in Jamia, Uzma came first in her class. For this, he will be awarded a gold medal in the coming convocation. He has also received the offer of INSPIRE fellowship by DST, Ministry of Science and Technology.
