20 students studying in the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of the Central University Jamia Millia Islamia have cracked the Civil Services Examination. The university gave this information by issuing a statement on Friday. According to the statement, the selected students had appeared in the main examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in January this year. After this, he appeared in the interviews held in the months of August and September.

RCA, run by the Center for Coaching and Career Planning in Jamia, is funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to provide free coaching and residential facilities to students belonging to SC, ST, women and minority categories.
Shubham Kumar topped the Civil Services Examination
On the other hand, Shubham Kumar has topped the Civil Services Examination 2020. After this Jagriti Awasthi has secured second position and Ankita Jain has secured third position. Shubham Kumar graduated in Bachelor of Technology (Civil Engineering) from IIT Bombay and chose anthropology as an optional subject for UPSC exam.
According to the statement issued by UPSC, Jagriti Awasthi is the topper among women candidates. Jagriti Awasthi gave the exam by choosing sociology as an optional subject. He has done B Tech in Electrical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. Ankita Jain stood third. A total of 761 candidates have cleared the exam, out of which 545 are male and 216 are female and the commission has recommended their names for various civil services.
UPSC conducts civil services examinations every year in three phases, which include preliminary examination, main examination and interview. Through these examinations, candidates are selected for various other services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). The Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020 was held on October 4 last year.
