National Fellowship for SC Scheme by UGC has now been transferred to National Schedule Caste Finance and Development Corporation.

A big decision has been taken by the University Grant Commission regarding 3 fellowship schemes run at the national level. The UGC has transferred three fellowship programs to the concerned ministry and department. in this regard UGC Notification has been issued by. Candidates can see the notice by visiting the official website- ugc.ac.in. After this decision of the UGC, from fellowship registration to transfer of money to the account, the work can now be done by the ministry.
This decision has been taken by the UGC regarding National Fellowship for SC, National Fellowship for OBC and Maulana Azad National Fellowship. Details of fellowship program and ministry can be seen in the official notification.
UGC Fellowship Transfer
As per the UGC notification, the National Fellowship for SC (NFSC) scheme has now been handed over to the National Schedule Caste Finance and Development Corporation. At the same time, the National Fellowship for OBC (NFOBC) has now been transferred to the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation.
According to the notification issued by the UGC, the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) has been handed over to the Ministry of Minorities. The Ministry of Minorities will now undertake the work of this fellowship given to the Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Parsi and Sikh communities.

Fellowship amount will be sent through DBT system
university grant commission A big decision has been taken on behalf of the fellowship amount. UGC has said that now the amount of fellowship to the students will be sent to the students through Direct Benefit Transfer ie DBT system.
UGC Chairman Dr Jagdish Kumar informed that DBT training program will be organized on the portal through virtual mode from November 14 to November 18 on behalf of UGC. In this, the system will be explained to the nodal officer through a workshop. For more details see the official notification.
