You attempted CAT 2022, but due to some reasons did not get admission in IIM, then there is no need to be disappointed. Jahan is also ahead of IIM. There are many management colleges whose reputation is better than some Indian Institutes of Management. If you look at the NIRF ranking released by the Government of India, you will find that some of the Top Management Colleges in the country are better than many IIMs. In this report, career expert Dinesh Pathak is telling about some such top MBA colleges.
Talking about NIRF Ranking 2022, only 12 IIMs have been able to make it to the top 25 management colleges. While 13 other institutes are either IITs or important private sector colleges with their own names.
Best MBA Colleges in India other than IIMs
According to the NIRF Ranking 2022 of India’s Top Management College, the fourth number after IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata is of IIT Delhi Management Institute. If you have hopes of IIM, and get a call from IIT Delhi, then you should go here.
At the same time, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow and IIM Indore come at number 5, 6 and 7 respectively. Non IIM institutes XLRI (Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur) and National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai are at 8th and 9th place respectively.
Similarly, the management institutes of IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur come at the 10th, 11th and 12th positions. The 13th number is from MDI, Gurugram. IIT Roorkee and IIT Kanpur are also inside 20 Top Management Colleges India.
Fees less than IIM, placement better
There are many colleges which take admission in 90 to 100 percentile, whose fees are much less than many IIM’s and have excellent placement record. FMS Delhi is one of them. A package of 30-32 lakhs is normal for here. Similarly, the MBA fee of IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay is around Rs 10 lakh. Delhi’s record in placement is better than Mumbai.
However, it cannot be denied that all the top 25 institutes want cream students only. On the basis of CAT 2022 score, it can be said that top 3-4 thousand students will get call letters from at least 4-5 institutes. Then gradually the lower rank people will get calls from one or two or three. In such a situation, there is no need to worry about the strong percentile.
