The central government has made a big announcement regarding medical admission. Now one more quota has been added in the rule of reservation in admission in MBBS and BDS courses. This quota is for terror victims. Terror Victims Reservation Quota is being implemented from this academic session i.e. 2022-23. An official notification has been issued in this regard. According to the decision of the Union Home Ministry, quota will be reserved for terror victims in MBBS and BDS from the academic year 2022-23 in Jammu and Kashmir. These reserved medical seats will be for the children of terror victims and their spouse ie spouse.
MBBS, BDS Reservation: Who Will Benefit?
Under the new reservation policy brought for Terror Victims, the priorities are divided into three categories. Know who will get first priority in reservation, who will get second-
- first priority Children whose mother and father were both killed in a terrorist attack.
- second priority Children whose only earning person in the family has been killed in a terrorist attack.
- third priority – Children whose parents have become permanently disabled or seriously injured in a terrorist attack.
Such candidates will come under the purview of this reservation who are permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir or Central / State / Union Territory government employees whose posting has been in Jammu and Kashmir. Children of Central, State or UT employees working on deputation in Jammu and Kashmir will also come under the purview of this reservation. The last date for this is 11 November 2022.
J&K Central Pool: How to Apply
In view of this decision, the Jammu Kashmir Professional Entrance Examination Board (BOPEE) has sought applications. Students who fulfill the above mentioned qualifications can apply for medical admission in Jammu and Kashmir under the Central Pool.
