Supreme Court expressed displeasure
Justice BV Nagarathna said, “These young doctors can be misled because of last-minute changes.” Justice DY Chandrachud said, ‘Take sensitivity with young doctors. What is NMC (National Medical Commission) doing? We are dealing with the lives of doctors. You issue a notice and then change the pattern? Students start preparing for super specialty courses months in advance. Why is there a need to change the last minutes before the exam? Why can’t you go ahead with the changes from next year?’
The petition, filed through advocate Javedur Rahman, said that “the dates for NEET SS 2021 were announced on July 23, 2021, but the changed pattern was made public more than a month later on August 31, when NEET Only 2 months were left before SS 2021 exam. Further, the petitioners claimed that in 2018 and 2019 when there was a change in the exam pattern, the students were notified about 6 months before the NEET-SS exam, but in the notice dated July 23, 2021, there was no reference to it. .
