In a college function, some students found it difficult to dance on the stage. The institute has suspended four students for this. The case pertains to St Joseph Engineering College located in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college event was going on, students were presenting different programs on the stage. Only then four students came on the stage. all by burqa was worn She gave a dance performance on a Bollywood song wearing a burqa. People were making video of the event. A video of that dance is also going viral on social media.
After the program is over, the college has suspended all the four students who danced wearing burqas. Also issued a press note. This release has been issued by Dr. Sudhir M, Principal Incharge of St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangalore.
‘This performance was not part of the approved program’
In the press note, the college said, ‘A part of the dance is visible in the video clip which is going viral on social media. Some students of the Muslim community suddenly reached the stage and started dancing. It was an informal event of the Students’ Association. But this performance was not part of the programs that were approved. All the students involved in this have been suspended and an inquiry has been ordered.

The statement issued by the principal said, ‘The college does not support any such activity which disturbs the communal harmony in the campus. Everyone in the institute is aware of the strict guidelines of the college in this regard.
This video is now being shared fast on social media platforms. However, till the investigation of the matter is completed by the college, the four students who were involved in the dance will remain suspended.
