School Ambassador Training Program: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda on Friday launched the “School Innovation Ambassador Training Program” for 50,000 school teachers. The new and one of its kind training program for school teachers aims to train 50,000 school teachers in innovation, entrepreneurship, IPR, design ideas, product development, idea generation etc.
Inaugurating the program, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Teachers have the biggest influence in our lives. Our goal is to make our teachers the agents of change and the ambassadors of innovation so that our students are future ready.” The Education Minister emphasized that technology is shaping the world in a new way and students have the power to tackle not only domestic but also global challenges.

Arjun Munda gave information
Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda informed that this program is a joint effort of Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which will enhance the innovation capabilities of lakhs of students will develop the culture of India and lay the foundation of a new and vibrant India.
Munda said, “This initiative will benefit the many schools built for tribal children across the country by giving wings to their creativity and will provide a platform so that they can give something new to the world with their ideas. Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) for tribal children is another ambitious program under which 740 EMRSs will be set up in tribal dominated areas in the next three years, he said.
Training in online mode only
The students of EMRS will greatly benefit from SIATP as the Ministry of Tribal Affairs also endeavors to provide the best possible education to the tribal children. The program has been designed on the basis of “Innovation Ambassador Training Program for Faculty Members of Higher Education Institutions” for school teachers by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE, the official statement said. The training will be given in online mode only.
