If you come up with 7 out of 10 questions correctly and get 65 to 75 percent marks, then your rank will be close to 200 to 500. If you bring the number above this, then you can be successful in bringing the rank up to 100.
Secret Formula to Rank Top 100 in Advanced
For those who have cleared JEE Mains, the JEE Advanced exam for admission to various IITs in the country is going to be held on October 3. Not even two months left. Even if your rank in JEE Mains is close to 1 lakh and you are planning to get within 100 rank in Advanced, then you can absolutely do it. People have done this before you too. All you have to do is to set a strategy and move forward without getting bogged down in confusions here and there.
In view of less time, running after more books is no longer appropriate. Instead, focus on revising what you have read again and again. After revision, make sure to take time to practice daily. Start practicing by setting a good question bank and practice timing of previous year question papers.
Study the complete study material of any good coaching
Whichever good coaching institute you are associated with, read their lectures and notes carefully again and again. Whether it is FIITJEE, ALLEN, AAKASH, VMC, RESONANCE, VIBRANT, BANSAL, MOTION, Sri Chaitanya, NARAYANA, Physics wallah, Unacademy, Vedantu or any other reputed coaching related to Kota. Everyone’s teachers are good and they are kept after looking at their ability to teach JEE level syllabus. If at this time you got confused that whether the study material of any other coaching institute is better than your coaching? Then you will go astray. So trust the teachers and experts of your institute. If you are not able to join any coaching institute then collect study material from your friends.
don’t make this mistake at all
Which books or coaching study material you have read from the beginning. Read them over and over again. Now is not the time to try something new. Do not try to read one topic from another book, then another topic from another book. One topic of any book is linked to another topic. The author of any book writes the entire book in such a way that if there is any issue left in any topic, then that thing should be completed in the topic connected with it. Therefore, do not forget to use different books or study material of different coaching for different topics. If you do this then the concept of the subject will not be able to sit in totality in your mind. This will be fatal for JEE Advanced. Instead of different books or study material for different topics, the right strategy is to read one book or study material of the same coaching from beginning to end.
NCERT Understand the importance of, in maths NCERT EXAMPLES quite useful
Those who feel that the importance of NCERT is limited to Mains. Apart from chemistry, for other subjects, its importance in advanced is reduced, they are making mistakes. NCERT is necessary in every respect and is necessary in every subject. This is also important because it is easy to revise it in less time. It covers the entire syllabus. NCERT EXEMPLER is very useful especially in Maths. Sometimes it has raised questions in JEE Advanced directly. While there is a common misconception among many students that NCERT is of no use for Maths.
Adopt a different strategy for Physics and Chemistry
If you are repeating NCERT along with the study material of coaching, then understand that you have completed 50 percent of the work. There can be a difference in the way of reading NCERT. In Chemistry, first read NCERT and then pick up the study material of coaching. Whereas in Physics it is better to read NCERT in the end. In Physics, read HC Verma’s ‘Concept of Physics’ as an NCERT. Good books are also from the DC Pandey series of Arihant Publications or the series of Hornage Publications. But you read this only if you have studied in Mains also. These books are in 5 volumes, so it is not easy to repeat in less time. Whereas HC Verma’s book has only two parts. This book is the ocean in the ocean. You can repeat this in less time too.
Practice of previous year question papers is necessary
Once you have increased and revised your coaching study material and NCERT, then it is time to practice from question bank and previous year question papers. Question papers of last 40 years are available in the market. You can get Solved Question Papers from any of Arihant or Disha Publications. Apart from this, practice as many problems as possible from where you can. Practice with timer in exam environment. Try to make a question in two and a half minutes. Here you join some good test series like FIITJEE AITS. Or solve FIITJEE GRAND MASTER PACKAGE (GMP).
how to bring RANK? how to create strategy?
An idea can be made by looking at the rankings based on the marks obtained in JEE Advanced of the last few years. On this basis, if you are able to get only 50 percent of the questions correctly, then you can bring up to 4000 ranks. If you are able to score 55 to 65 percent marks, that is, if you come up with 6 out of 10 questions correctly, then you can bring rank from 500 to 1000. Similarly, if you come up with 7 questions out of 10 correctly and get 65 to 75 percent marks, then your rank will be close to 200 to 500. If you bring the number above this, then you can be successful in bringing the rank up to 100.
For example, let us remind that in the year 2018, Sahil Sood, who got 38th rank in JEE Advanced, had 70 thousandth rank in JEE Mains. You too can repeat this charisma. Even if the rank is low in JEE Mains, then in Advanced, you can wave your laurels of victory and fulfill your dream of getting admission in reputed institutes like IIT BOMBAY or IIT DELHI.
