Defense Technology masters course launched
New Course: Due to Corona virus, more focus is being given on online education. This is the reason why new courses are being launched by many big educational institutions of the country. Post graduation course in Defense Technology has been launched. This course has been issued by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
This course, issued by DRDO and AICTE, will also be taught in top IITs and NITs of the country. DRDO Chairman Dr G Satheesh Reddy and AICTE Chairman Professor Anil D Sahasrabuddhe started this new course during a recently organized online program. Online and offline classes can be done
MTech course in Defense Technology will be offered in all Institutes/Universities affiliated to AICTE, IITs, NITs or private engineering institutes. The Institute of Defense Scientists and Technologists (IDST) will provide support for conducting this course. The special thing is that this course can be conducted in both online or offline formats. Can be conducted in both online or offline format.
Who can do this course?
This program will be beneficial for the students seeking opportunities in the expansion of defense research and manufacturing sector. Students will be given an opportunity to complete their main thesis work in DRDO laboratories, Public Sector Defense Undertakings and Industries.
These subjects will be studied
This course consists of six specialized subjects. In this, subjects like Combat Technology, Aero Technology, Naval Technology, Communication Systems and Sensors, Directed Energy Technology and High Energy Material Technology will be trained. DRDO Chairman Dr G Satheesh Reddy said that such a special program would create a large pool of talented workforce for the defense sector. Prof. Anil D Sahasrabuddhe while expressing happiness on the launch of the program said that it will not only create skilled manpower in defense technology but will also generate unforeseen benefits in terms of new defense startups and entrepreneurs.
