NEET UG 2023: This time the number of students joining MBBS course in top medical colleges will be more than 9 states including UP, Bihar and Rajasthan. Most of the students in these states have scored more than 400. The counseling process for NEET UG has not started yet, which is likely to start soon. The results of NEET UG 2023 were declared on 13 May.
More than 70 percent of the students taking admission in the top medical colleges of the country will be from Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP and West Bengal. On the other hand, Delhi replaces Bihar in the top eight among students who score more than 620 in NEET UG.

As per the reports of TOI (Times of Indian), 65 percent of the candidates who have scored 400 and above. He is from eight states, these include Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP and West Bengal. On the other hand, among the students scoring more than 620, Delhi replaces Bihar in the top eight.
How many students passed in NEET UP?
It will be difficult to get a seat in a government medical college in general and OBC categories with a NEET score of 400, even as nearly 66 per cent candidates in the high score range of 620 and above are from these states. A total of 11.4 lakh candidates have been successful in NEET UG 2023.
The total number of candidates who scored 400 and above is 2.3 lakh, while the number of candidates who scored between 500-619 is over 45,000. There are 18,757 candidates who have scored 620 and above in this year’s exam.
How many seats are there in MBBS?
A total of 1,04,333 MBBS seats are available in 54,278 government medical colleges this year. At the same time, BDS has a total of 27,868 seats. In addition, there are 52,720 seats in AYUSH programs and 603 BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) and Animal Husbandry seats. Admission to Homeopathic and Unani undergraduate courses is also based on NEET UG score.
Candidates with a score of 400 and above comprise 12.3 per cent students of Rajasthan. Whereas Uttar Pradesh is 11.8 percent and Maharashtra is 9.9 percent. A total of 64.3 per cent students scored 400 and above in Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
Which state has the maximum number of medical seats?
There are a total of 322 government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu with over 5,200 medical seats. It is followed by Maharashtra with over 4,800 seats. Other states with more than 3000 government college seats are Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan and West Bengal. Seats will be filled under two categories in government medical colleges. 15% seats will be filled under All India Quota and the rest will be filled under State Quota.
How many candidates scored more than 550?
The total number of candidates who scored 550 and above in NEET UG this year is 64,520. Most of these candidates are from Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and UP. Rajasthan has the highest number of 16.8 percent candidates who have scored 550 or above. After this, 12.2 percent in Uttar Pradesh, 8.4 percent in Maharashtra. And in Delhi, a total of 7.2 per cent students have scored 620 and above.
