Earlier, the National Board of Examination had said that the examination for admission to super specialty courses in medical colleges across the country would be postponed. This exam will now be held in January instead of November. Also, NBE has urged the SC to allow the new pattern, postpone the exam till January to give time to the candidates. In the Supreme Court, some students had objected to the change in the pattern in the NEET-SS exam (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty Courses) and demanded cancellation of the exam.
He said that the exam is to be held in November for admission and in the month of August the pattern of the exam was changed. This is causing a lot of trouble to the students as they have been preparing for this exam since one year. During the hearing, the Supreme Court had asked the central government to consider it. After which the Center told the Supreme Court that now the exam will be held in January instead of November, so that students will get a chance to prepare under the new pattern.
Answer was sought from NBE regarding the exam pattern
