Analysis of these figures shows that in the last five years, there are 1.32 crore youths who applied but did not appear in the examination. It is possible that some have got jobs elsewhere, health of some has deteriorated, but directly one-third of the applicants not appearing in the exam tells a different story.
0.29 percent reached the interview, only 0.10 percent got selected
During this period, out of the candidates who appeared in the examination, only 0.29 percent of the candidates were found eligible for the interview while only 0.10 percent of the candidates got selected. On the other hand, for the first time in the year 2018, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission had recruited 10778 thousand posts of Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) of Government Inter College, in which a total of 7 lakh 63 thousand candidates had applied. Only 422 candidates were successful on 962 posts
Last year there were vacancies for 962 posts of Ayurveda and Unani doctors. More than 14 thousand candidates had applied for these posts. Only 9963 appeared in the screening and out of these 9525 could not secure the minimum qualifying marks. Whereas 438 candidates were called for the interview, but only 434 candidates appeared. Professor ON Upadhyay of Lucknow University says that despite the availability of vacancies and applications of the youth, non-selection gives two signals somewhere. One- we have to improve our education system further and secondly, some negligence is also being done by the youth. On the other hand, career coach Rakesh Mishra says that there are many aspects to it. The youth now have more opportunities. In such a situation, most of the youth are unable to focus on one place. Or it can also be said that there is a lack of sense of responsibility in him. The purpose is not clear. Everyone has the right to agree-disagree on this issue, but the figures of the Commission are worrying. Everyone will have to think of a solution together.
