Divya Mittal is an IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. His story of becoming a civil service officer is very motivational. In fact, she was so impressed with her IAS husband that she left her lakhs of rupees job in London and then decided to become an IAS. (Photo Credit-divyamittal_ias)
Divya cleared the UPSC exam in 2013. Presently Divya is handling the command of Mirzapur district of UP as District Magistrate. Before Mirzapur DM, she has also been the DM of Sant Kabir Nagar. The life of IAS Divya Mittal is full of motivation in itself. (Photo Credit-divyamittal_ias)
Before becoming an IAS officer, she was doing a wonderful job in London, for which she used to get a hefty salary. However, time made such a change in the attitude of life that she came to India from London and then became IAS. Actually, she was disillusioned with the job in London and then she returned to India. After coming to India, Divya decided that instead of a job abroad, she would serve her country. IAS Divya Mittal appointed VC, Bareilly Development Authority; Joint MD, UPSIDA; CDO; Has also handled important posts like Gonda and Mawana (Meerut), Meerut and Sidhauli (Sitapur) SDM. She has been a very talented IAS officer since joining the service. He was also awarded the Ashok Bambawale Award for his excellent performance during training in Mussoorie. Divya has been brilliant in studies since the beginning. Perhaps this was the reason why he first did engineering from IIT Delhi and then did MBA from IIM Bangalore. Before joining the Civil Services, she worked as a Derivatives Trader in London. The story of Divya becoming an IAS has been very inspiring. Once she told that there was no dearth of money for her and her husband in London. But she always missed India. The point to be noted here is that neither Divya nor Gagandeep took coaching to crack UPSC, one of the toughest exams in the world.
