Before becoming an IAS officer, she was doing a wonderful job in London, for which she used to get a hefty salary. However, time made such a change in the attitude of life that she came to India from London and then became IAS. Actually, she was disillusioned with the job in London and then she returned to India. After coming to India, Divya decided that instead of a job abroad, she would serve her country. She has been a very talented IAS officer since joining the service. He was also awarded the Ashok Bambawale Award for his excellent performance during training in Mussoorie. Divya has been brilliant in studies since the beginning. Perhaps this was the reason why he first did engineering from IIT Delhi and then did MBA from IIM Bangalore. Once she told that there was no dearth of money for her and her husband in London. But she always missed India. The point to be noted here is that neither Divya nor Gagandeep took coaching to crack UPSC, one of the toughest exams in the world.
