How many marks does a candidate need to clear JEE Main?
To pass JEE Mains 2023, general category candidates will have to score 90, EWS category 78, OBC-NCL 75, SC category 54, ST category 44.
What is the marking scheme of JEE Main exam?
JEE Main exam is of total 300 marks for BE and B.Tech candidates. There are total three sections in the question paper. All the sections are of 100-100 marks. It is mandatory to attempt 25-25 questions in all sections. The exam is based on MCQs and numerical. 4 marks are awarded for correct answers to MCQs and one mark is deducted for wrong answers. Whereas for numerical questions, 4 marks are given for the correct answer, while no mark is deducted for the wrong answer.
What is the schedule of JEE Main 2023 Session-1 exam?
According to the notification issued by NTA, JEE Main Session-1 exam will be conducted on 24 January 2023, 25 January 2023, 29 January 2023, 30 January 2023, 31 January 2023 and 1 February 2023. The examination will be conducted at various centers as per the issued guidelines. The first session of JEE will be conducted at 290 centers in the country and 25 centers abroad. The entrance exam for BE and B.Tech will be conducted in two shifts. On the other hand, the examination of B.Arch and B.Planning will be conducted on January 28, 2023 only in the second shift.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the center without the admit card. The candidate has to reach the center 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Along with the admit card, the candidate must carry an official ID card with a photo bearing such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or Voter ID Card to the exam center.
