Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) and NEET PG candidates are constantly demanding postponement of the exam. Candidates are demanding that the exam be postponed to reduce the gap between the date of NEET PG exam and counseling.
That’s why there is a demand to postpone the exam
According to various media reports, the candidates say that if the exam is held in March and the counseling is held in August, then due to short time, neither they will be able to apply for the job nor will get time for studies. If the exam is delayed, the candidates will be able to prepare more for the entrance exam and score good marks in the exam.
Date extended for completion of internship
Earlier the cut-off date for the candidates to complete one year compulsory internship was March 31, 2023. However, the Indian Medical Association, student union bodies, prospective candidates and several state authorities urged the ministry to extend the eligibility date to June. After this the cut-off date was increased to 30th June and finally to 11th August.
Let us tell you that recently Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had earlier told the Lok Sabha that NEET PG 2023 will be held on March 5 as per the schedule. The exam cannot be postponed to make up for the late session due to Covid.
