Education Ministry is starting ‘Veergatha Project’, a project to be made on the lives of heroes, will get award

Veergatha project has been launched for the students in honor of the heroes.

In order to inculcate the spirit of bravery in the students through the stories of the lives and sacrifices of the country’s heroes, the Ministry of Education is starting the “Veergatha Project” from October 21, on the proposal of the Ministry of Defense, whose 25 winners will be honored on the Republic Day of 2022. will be rewarded. “The Veergatha project is being organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy and will run from October 21 to November 20,” a ministry official said. In this, students from class 3 to class 12 will be able to participate. In this project, students from schools of all states and union territories will be able to participate in this project, apart from schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

According to the proposal of the Veergatha project, the students participating in it will have to prepare a project on the life and sacrifice of the heroes who have received medals and honors for bravery. It can be in the form of poetry, articles, paintings, multi-media presentations including videos, etc. It has been said that 25 selected entries will be given a cash prize of Rs 10,000 by the Ministry of Defense and its winners will be invited to Delhi on the occasion of Republic Day.

In this regard, the Veer Gatha project for CBSE affiliated schools can be started on CBSE’s IT platform, a CBSE official said. It will be started on MyGov platform for the schools of the states. In this, 25 winners will be selected from the entries received on the Veergatha portal of CBSE and MyGov platform. The activities at the school level will be completed from October 21 to November 20. You can submit on the Veer Gatha Project Portal of the School Board from 1 November 2021 to 30 November 2021.

In the Veergatha project, students of classes III to V will have to write a 150-word poem or essay or make a painting on the person who will receive the gallantry award. Students of classes VI to VIII will have to write a poem or an essay or make a painting in 300 words. They can also prepare video presentations. Students of class 9th and 10th can write a poem or an essay or draw a painting in 750 words on a hero who has received the honor for bravery. Students in this class can also prepare a video presentation.

Similarly, students of class 11th and 12th can write a poem or an essay or make a painting in 1000 words. Students in this class can also prepare a video presentation.
