DU Admission 2021: More than 51,000 students took admission in Delhi University’s graduate courses, third cut-off is coming today

So far more than half the seats in Delhi University have been filled.

More than 51,000 students have taken admission in Delhi University’s graduate courses, which is more than 74 percent of the total 70,000 seats available in the university. University officials said that after the release of the first and second cut-off lists, the university has received a total of 1,18,878 applications for admission. Till 5 pm on Friday evening, 51,974 students had submitted the fees for admission. After 5 pm, the ‘payment gateway’ was closed for depositing fees. He said that the principals of colleges have approved 10,591 applications so far.

Ramjas College Principal Manoj Khanna said that the college administration is taking utmost care as they do not want to admit more students than the available seats. “This year we are trying to get NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation and we want to maintain better student-teacher ratio which is very important. In the second cut off list, we kept the cut off for Political Science (Honours) as 100 per cent as only two seats were left. There are 31 seats in the course for which we have taken 33 admissions.

Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Principal of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College said that out of 820, about 440 seats have been filled. He said, “10 students have applied for the B.Com course. In the third list, the cut-off is likely to be reduced by one percent.” In the first cut-off list, 100 percent marks were fixed for B.Com, but in the second list, the cut-off was reduced by one percent when no applications were received.

Let us inform that Delhi University and its affiliated colleges will release the third cut-off list for graduate admissions today. The consolidated cut-off list for Arts, Commerce, Science and BA programs will be released on the official website admission.uod.ac.in. DU colleges like The Hindu College, Ramjas College, Aryabhatta College will release their individual cut-off list on their respective websites. The admissions against the third cut-off list will run from October 18 to October 21.
