Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday launched the Strategic Plan 2022-27 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, which proposes an ambitious growth phase for the institute. During this, he said that these institutions are such temples of the country which develop scientific thinking in the students and shape the future of humanity. Speaking at the event, Pradhan said that the country’s IITs are not just educational institutions but they are temples that create scientific thinking and shape the future of humanity. He said that our society has high hopes from these IITs. Our students studying in IITs are symbols of growth and development.
5G technology will come soon
The Education Minister said that India is revealing new ideas for the betterment of its society. Innovating because the culture of our country is to give back to the society. He said that due to the technical strength of IIT Madras, India will be able to bring indigenous 5G technology by the end of the year 2023.
On this occasion, Pradhan released the Strategic Plan of IIT Madras for the year 2021-27 which proposes the ambitious growth phases of the institute.
IIT Madras tops in NIRF rankings
The Union Education Ministry had recently released the list of NIRF ranking 2022. This year Indian Institute of Technology, Madras is at the top position in the list of higher education institutions. While the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and IIT, Bombay are at the second and third positions respectively. The list of top institutions was announced by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The list is available at nirfindia.org.
